Types of Information

There are 4 types of Information available :

1. Strategic Information
2. Tactical Information
3. Operational Information
4. Statutory Information

Definition of Information and Data

Information & Data:

A data which is gathering and processing for some result or calculation by anyone. i.e. Everyone in his or her day-to-day work gathers and processes data for some result is called "Information".

Ex.: When a housewife buys a milk every morning, she notes that in a notebook the numbers of liters she bought. At the end of month she adds all days data (number of liters milk) in the notebook and multiply it by the price of milk and calculate total payment of milk. The result of payment is the information she uses to pay the milkman.
